The Great frog london
Originally popped up in the 70s making jewelry for the likes or Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe, Slash from Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver, Slayer and Metallica, the Great Frog is the place to go for edgy rings, bracelets and necklaces covered in skulls, crosses, animal heads, snakes and much much more.
The Great Frog pieces have also been seen in Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' video, Duran Duran have used some pieces in their 'Girl Panic!' video, and in the Arctic Monkeys 'Suck it and See' video they have used several designs from the Great Frog and Reino Lehtonen-Riley (who runs the Great Frog with partner Christopher Thomson) also appeared in the video.
Hidden in the back streets off Carnaby Street, all the jewelry is hand made in the workshop below the shop. They have recently expanded by opening 2 shops, one in L.A and one in New York. The shop has a sense of exclusivity, being the only one in London, and the staff are all so passionate about the jewelry they represent as well as being covered in it.
Any skull design you can think of, i guarantee will be in the Great Frog. There's a piece for any occasion. Go and have a look because once you do, like us, you will never want to buy your jewelry from anywhere else.
As our all-time favourite jewelry shop, this post is long over due.
