MONSTER BEATS BY DR DRE PRO DETOX HEADPHONES
Now, I'm not a massive fan of the Beats heaphones; they make you look like an alien, they're way too bassy, they weigh about the same as a brick (well the studio Pro ones do) and as all producers know you can get much better value for money with other brands such as senheiser and audio technica so on.
For some reason, these have really caught my eye. Im prepared to put all my issues with the other beats aside, pick these new ones up and plug them into my ipod. They're much more discrete, althought the massive DETOX sign on the headband means that when you're wearing them around your neck other people will probably think that you're on your way to yoga class, you don't want to have a beer with them, and your teeth whitening appointment is going to take over any plans you made for the rest of the week. Dre + Detox = THATS NOT WHAT WE WANT TO HEAR, even if that is the name of his new album.
I wish he had just called the headphones - BADASS MOTHERF**KING EAR DESTROYING PORTABLE BLASTERS. Would've made more sense?
BUT
I feel that Dre ACTUALLY had something to do with making this edition (rather than MONSTER stamping his name on them). I haven't listened to them yet but I sense that they will be pretty awesome - also considering the fact that the price is only £449.99 !!!
If someone gets a chance to sample them before I do let me know! In the mean time I'm going to see if its possible to get the headband custom printed with my name or something attention seeking but in a different light to the message these ones are putting across.
